DIRRUM FESTIVAL #CBR17
FOR THE COMMON GOOD
CHANGE MAKER WORKSHOP
Got a heart for social change? Can see issues that are real and urgent but not sure how to act? Want to develop some skills? Keen to learn from other young leaders? Get on board!
This workshop provided young leaders and activists with direct exposure to the work of Global Citizen. It equiped delegates with innovative tools and knowledge for effective methods of advocacy.
Hosted by Michael Sheldrick with Global Citizen
on Friday 4 August 2017.
MUSIC, ART, FOOD, ENTERTAINMENT, FIRE, ILLUMINATION
Radford College on Saturday 5 August 2017.
ASK ME ANYTHING
We highly recommended this workshop for schools who were looking for experiences that help young people identify and move beyond stereotypes. The Ask Me Anything workshop began with good questions and meaningful dialogue to increase understanding and help make our community more inclusive of all people. Our team believes in kicking down stereotypes, and building mutual understanding between real people.
The panel consisted of:
-
a muslim migrant;
-
an Aboriginal activist;
-
a feminist yogi; and
-
an AFP sergeant.
Shape the conversation, be brave, and question everything about the lives, loves, trials, and identities of four very different Australians.
Friday 4 August 2017.
